Police given extra time to question murder suspect

Norwich Magistrates Court have authorised a 36 hour extension of the custody time limit of a woman arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with a body found in Norwich.

A 30-year-old woman, detained in Cambridgeshire yesterday (Monday 5 March), remains in custody at Wymondham Police Investigation Centre with this current custody extension expiring at around 3am on Thursday 8 March.

Sixty-seven-year-old Barry Reeve was found dead at his property on Corton Road in Norwich on Sunday 26 February.

Police are continuing to appeal to anyone with information in relation to the incident. They should contact the Major Investigation Team on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Police investigating the death of 67 year old Barry Reeve in Norwich have today (Monday 5 March 2012) arrested a second woman.

A 31 year old woman was detained in Cambridgeshire this morning and is currently being detained  at Wymondham Police Investigation Centre. She will be interviewed by officers in due course.

The body of Mr Reeve was found on Sunday 26 February at his property on Corton Road in Norwich.

Police investigating the death of 67 year old Barry Reeve in Norwich have this evening (Sunday 4 March) charged a woman.

31 year old Kelly Louise Barnes from Bixley Close in Norwich has been charged with murder.

The body of Mr Reeve was found on Sunday 26 February at his property on Corton Road in Norwich.

Kelly Louise Barnes, who is currently being held at Wymondham Police Investigation Centre, will appear before Norwich Magistrates Court tomorrow at 9.30am (Monday 5 March).
